About us
Effective July 1, 2005, United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley (UWAMOV) was formed by combining the United Way of the Mid-Ohio Valley, Belpre United Way, Vienna United Appeal and Williamstown United Way.
The United Way Alliance strives to increase the capacity of people to care for one another. Our goal is to produce strong children, healthy families and self-sufficient individuals. For more than 80 years, the United Way has kept this community a safe, healthy and happy place to live. Learn about our history.
UWAMOV supports your community by funding 40 Health and Human Service Agencies that provide programs and services to local iindividuals and families in need of assistance, serving 200,000 people last year throughout the Mid-Ohio Valley. The following counties are served: Calhoun, Jackson, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Tyler, Wirt, and Wood Counties in West Virginia and Washington and Athens Counties in Ohio.
UWAMOV has a dedicated staff to coordinate the organization's efforts in the community, and has a Board of Directors representing area business and the community.
